Research Director at the Independence Institute Dave Kopel talks to Cam Edwards about a recent challenge to restrictive Irish gun laws. Competitive shooter Patrick Herlihy appealed after being denied the renewal of his licenses for six competition handguns. The court ruled against Herlihy, judging that even these guns were in violation of the country's recently passed Firearms Act, which effectively bans all handguns except for a narrow category of .22 caliber competition guns. In other news, Kopel and co-author Clayton Kramer have a new article on the right to bear arms in the Pennsylvania constitution, and Kopel's new book Aiming for Liberty will be in stores later this week.
