Though very few New York City criminals charged with illegal possession of a firearm are serving the 3.5-year "mandatory" minimum sentence, a Florida man caught with an unloaded gun in his glove box is facing serious jail time. Cam Edwards speaks with Mark A. Bederow, attorney for Jonathon Ryan who is an exemplary citizen by all accounts. Ryan was in New York City to help his girlfriend move when he was pulled over for making an illegal right turn on a red light. Police then found his legally purchased, never-fired 9mm in his car and arrested him. The "best offer" from the prosecuting attorney is 2 years in prison. Originally aired 9/13/2010.
