In March of this year, Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan ruled that the names of Firearms Owner Identification (FOID) cardholders are public information. The ruling was fought by the Illinois State Police, who are in charge of issuing FOIDs, while a bill was in the works to protect gun owners' privacy. Ginny Simone speaks with NRA Illinois Lobbyist Todd Vandermyde who reports that this legislation is now headed to the Governor's desk to be signed into law. Originally aired 5/20/2011.
