NRA-ILA spokeswoman Alexa Fritts delivers the ILA Report: More mayors have resigned from anti-gun mayor Michael Bloomberg's organization, "Mayors Against Illegal Guns."
California bills S.B. 585, known as the Cow Palace Gun Show bill, and A.B. 962, known as the Ammo Registration bill, are still being considered in the California legislature.
A.B. 962 would require the Department of Justice to maintain additional information relating to ammunition transfers and licensed handgun ammunition vendors, effectively creating an ammunition registry.
S.B. 585 would prohibit the sale of firearms and ammunition at the Cow Palace and would thereby make a violation of that prohibition a misdemeanor. This bill would ban having a gun show at the Cow Palace, which is a state owned facility in the South San Francisco area. If it passes, it will likely be expanded to ban gun shows on any public property, such as fairgrounds, throughout the state.
