On tonight's ILA Report, NRA-ILA Media Liaison Vickie Cieplak talks to Cam Edwards about gun-related legislative developments across the country. Responding to arguments from the Brady Campaign that people should be required to give up their firearms after declaring bankruptcy, the NRA sponsored a bill to protect the basic right of self-defense of bankrupt citizens. This bill, which passed the United States House with a large majority, works to honor both the terms of bankruptcy and the right of all law-abiding Americans to own guns. In other news, Mayor Hans Trousil of West Burlington, Iowa is calling gun owners "nut-jobs" and backing an ordinance to prevent them from carrying on municipal property, even though this would contradict Iowa state law.
