On this edition of Deal of the Day, Cam Edwards shares a story from Geneva, Illinois, where 31-year-old Wayne Van De Carr was sentenced to seven years in state prison for burglarizing a neighboring apartment in 2010. Prosecutors said that because of Van De Carr's lengthy criminal arrest record, he was subject to harsher sentencing guidelines. Van De Carr has been arrested for a variety of previous offenses including attempted robbery in 2000, possession of a controlled substance in 2001, theft in 2004, possession of a stolen motor vehicle in 2005 and again in 2007, and theft again in 2008. Originally aired 11/18/2011.
