Cam Edwards speaks with NRA Illinois Lobbyist Todd Vandermyde about several gun-related bills that are circulating in the state this year. Most recently, the House voted 61-48 in favor of a bill that would have placed a statewide standard on gun laws and taken away the authority of municipalities, such as Chicago, that infringe on Second Amendment rights with local gun regulations. Unfortunately, the legislation needed a supermajority of 71 votes to pass. Vandermyde says, however, that this vote will probably not reflect much on the Right-to-Carry Bill that is coming up soon.
