A wolf hunt would help the animals in Idaho, yet it is disputed. NRA Manager of Hunting Policy Darren LaSorte joins Ginny Simone and federally licensed firearms dealer Mike Zarlenga to discuss the Idaho court's current indecision about the scheduled wolf hunt and to explain why hunting is an effective means of wildlife management. LaSorte explains that the wolves are not only off the endangered species list, but there is a surplus of them. To keep the wolf population under control, which by extension keeps the elk, deer and other game populations from declining, hunts are not only helpful, they are arguably necessary to maintain a healthy ecosystem as these animal populations are restored.
