Harvey Gerwig of the Hawaii Rifle Association joins Cam Edwards by phone to discuss the surging popularity of gun ownership in the state. The rate of firearm possession has nearly doubled from 2000 to 2008, with especially heavy increases occurring during the last four years. Gerwig credits fear of retail bans under the Obama administration for much of this increase in sales activity. He also examines the gun rights climate in Hawaii and applauds the election of a potentially less anti-gun police chief in Honolulu.
