FL Castle Doctrine protects Jimmy Hair's right to self-defense. NRA Past President and current Florida lobbyist Marion Hammer joins Ginny Simone to discuss the decision of the First District Court of Appeals to exonerate Jimmy Hair, 28, in the murder of Charles Harper, 26, more than two years ago. Harper had forced his way into Jimmy Hair's car and tousled with him. Hammer says that Harper was in the process of being pulled out of the vehicle by a friend when Hair shot him. The court overturned the decision of the circuit court that convicted Hair of first-degree murder, noting that the Florida Castle Doctrine allows the use of deadly force to protect oneself even if the attacker is in retreat.
