Michael Mitchell is a Right-to-Carry permit holder who was fired from the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center for keeping a handgun in his car, parked a mile away, while he was at work. Mitchell and David Burnett, director of public relations for Students for Concealed Carry on Campus, discuss the situation with Cam Edwards. Mitchell is contending that, under state law, he was allowed to have the gun in his car because state law supersedes UK rules prohibiting deadly weapons on campus. Burnett says that the university is moreover out of control on the case as they threatened Mitchell with expulsion and tried to deny him of his unemployment benefits.
