National Review Online contributor Jim Geraghty talks to Cam Edwards about the current political climate. Polls show that President Obama's approval ratings have increased only slightly if at all since the passage of the health-care reform bill, showing firm opposition on the part of Republicans and many independents. Geraghty examines possibilities for the upcoming midterm elections, in particular analyzing the potential for a Republican comeback in Wisconsin. He also discusses with Edwards a recent Pew Research Center poll claiming that the issue of gun control "splits America," while really it shows support for the Second Amendment growing in all demographics over the long term.
