The National Review Online Campaign Spot blogger joins Cam Edwards in studio to discuss what's happening in Vallejo, California where police staff has been cut considerably since 2005 due to budgetary issues. The city is now the least-policed in the state for its size with 89 officers covering 30 square miles and 117,000 residents. As violent crime rates climb, citizens are asking for means to defend themselves, but city officials are saying they think the right to self-defense is a "bad idea." They recommend staying in at night and hanging a "Beware of Dog" sign for safety instead.
