This room is a close copy of Theodore Roosevelt's library in his Sagamore Hill retreat in New York and is typical of the trophy rooms established by many hunters. It offers a glimpse into the life of an affluent gentleman hunter, the type who took part in an African safari in the early 20th century. Learn about the origins of the "Teddy Bear," Mr. Roosevelt's connection to the NRA, the U.S. involvement in the Spanish-American War and the famous "Rough Riders."
