On tonight's Liberty Update, Vice-President of Legal and Public Affairs at the Center for Individual Freedom (CFIF) Tim Lee joins Cam Edwards in the studio to discuss the content of two recently dismissed lawsuits. First, the US Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit ended a four-year case by stating that the plaintiff could not sue the Department of Agriculture over turkey slaughter techniques. The court ruled that the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), who brought the case, did not have standing to act on behalf of turkeys. Second, the US Supreme Court declined to hear Adames v. Beretta, which challenges the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act of 2005. The challenge to the federal law comes as part of an effort to sue gun manufacturers for criminal use of their products.
