Though Jonathan Ryan is, by all accounts, an exemplary citizen with no criminal record who cooperated courteously with New York law enforcement when they pulled him over for a right turn on red and found an unloaded 9mm in his glove compartment, he is to be branded as a felon and may serve two years in prison. Ryan is a Florida landscaper who only drove to New York City to help move his girlfriend back home. He had forgotten that the gun, which had never even been fired, was still in his glove box. Mark Bederow, Ryan's attorney, speaks with Ginny Simone about the unjust treatment of this upstanding citizen and gun owner by a local government that has shown more leniency to celebrities and criminals in the past.
