While trying to help a friend move to New York, Florida man Jonathan Ryan had forgotten about an unloaded handgun in his glove box until he was pulled over in Manhattan for turning right on a red light. The magazine was stored separately from the gun in compliance with Florida law, but by New York law, it was "loaded," and Ryan was charged with criminal weapons possession. However, because he had not been conscious of the gun's presence, the jury returned a verdict of "not guilty" after only 30 minutes of deliberation. Cam Edwards speaks with Ryan and his attorney, Mark Bederow, who says the fast acquittal makes a statement against the enforcement of so-called "Bloomberg Gun Laws." Originally aired 2/25/2011.
