First, the Human Society of the United States (HSUS) continues to run false advertisements implying that donating to HSUS will fund local animal shelters. Moreover, in a recent fundraising ad, they take credit for rescuing a dog that was actually rescued by the local Missouri Human Society. In other news, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has announced their intention to send 40 employees into a new Los Angeles office location. Martosko speculates that they are trying to win back some of the star-power from Malibu-based HSUS.
