The NRA has successfully halted the proposed ban on lead ammunition with the help and support of gun owners across the nation. Cam Edwards speaks with NRA-ILA Manager of Hunting Policy Darren LaSorte who explains that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) denied the petition to ban lead ammunition in accordance with the Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976 which exempts cartridges and shells from regulation by the EPA. LaSorte says that while the NRA's argument was sound, the EPA's decision was still a pleasant surprise under the current administration. Originally aired 8/27/2010.
