The Emeryville City Council will consider gun control measures that would severely restrict the sales of firearms and ammunition within city limits. NRA & CRPA Attorney Chuck Michel tells Cam Edwards that the ordinances are part of the anti-gun agenda of Legal Community Against Violence (LCAV). One essentially bans anyone who is under 21 years of age from entering a gun store though 18-year-olds are legally allowed to purchase long guns in the state. The second ordinance would require gun stores to submit inventories of their merchandise to the chief of police twice a year. Michel says it is only a matter of time before Emeryville sees a preemption lawsuit over these measures.
