Drug Cartel Report

Letter challenges methodology of study on firearm origins. Former Congressman (R-Colo.) and President of the Rocky Mountain Foundation Tom Tancredo joins Ginny Simone by phone to explain his appeal to the Government Accountability Office (GAO). Tancredo states that the GAO's study on Mexican crime guns is skewed in favor of the opinion that the U.S. is to blame for the country's problems, and it contains a number of omissions and misleading figures. Most noticeably, it publicizes the claim that 90 percent of guns confiscated from Mexican drug cartels originated in the U.S., while in reality only 22 percent can be confirmed to be American.
