Downward Departure from Justice

Seventeen-year-old gang member gets 10 years for a laundry list of violence. On today's Deal of the Day, Cam Edwards tells the story of Devon Low, also known as "The Joker," who was sentenced to the relatively minimal term in prison mostly because of his MySpace pictures that named him as a member of the Bloods. However, he was charged with two counts of aggravated battery and one count of armed burglary that left one victim in a coma for three days. The sentence was 9.31 years to life, but Low plea-bargained to the bottom of the range.
