At the end of the Delaware legislative session, sponsors of House Bill 357, which would have dismantled the gun bans imposed on residents by public housing agencies, allowed the bill to expire without bringing it forward for a vote. Past NRA President John Sigler explains to Cam Edwards that the intention of the bill should be accomplished in court following the United States Supreme Court's decision in McDonald v. City of Chicago, so it was pointless to waste the money of Delaware taxpayers to fight for a superfluous bill. Sigler says that if the court fails to strike down the unconstitutional gun bans, the NRA will make sure that the bill is re-introduced when the next legislative session starts in January.
