The NRA is supporting H.R. 5667, a bill introduced by Representative Dan Boren (D-OK) that would determine whether a firearm could be manufactured with microstamping technology that would work reliably and be cost effective for law enforcement purposes, what the cost would be for manufacturers, gun owners and state governments, and whether the technology could work with non-metallic cartridge cases. Cam Edwards speaks with John Frazer, NRA-ILA Research and Information Division, who says that the NRA is confident that the results of the 'Firearms Microstamping Evaluation & Study Act' will expose the technology as costly and ineffective.
