Deputy Managing Editor of the National Review Kevin Williamson talks to Cam Edwards about a recent article of his on "Coyotes in the State of Nature." Williamson discusses the contrast between liberal Westchester County, New York, where coyotes menace area children, and gun-friendly Texas, where Governor Rick Perry shot a coyote that threatened his dog. He compares the dynamics of the predator population to the "state of nature" that anti-gun activists fear from increasing rates of gun ownership, and he explains why upholding the individual right of self-defense is preferable to limiting the use of legitimate violence to the government.
