John Popp and Cameron Gray speak with Dave Kopel, Research Director for the Independence Institute, about his article "Could President Perry carry a gun?" The article poses the question as to whether the current Gov. of Texas and Presidential Candidate Rick Perry, who has a reputation for exercising his right to carry, would be able to carry concealed in Washington, D.C. where gun laws are strict. Kopel says that he would be able to since, as a federal employee under D.C. code, he could authorize himself. Originally aired 8/24/2011.
