Recently, Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis invited local, west-side gang members to a secret meeting allegedly aimed to help stem violence in the city. At the meeting Weis told gang members that they will crackdown on the criminals for other crimes if the shootings don't stop, causing several of these attendees to walk out. Mayor Richard Daley is of course defending the superintendent. However, Cam Edwards talks with Frank Borelli of Officer.com who notes that "negotiating" with criminals in completely inappropriate. This should be a threat, he explains, not a "deal." Originally aired 9/1/2010.
