Director of Government Relations at the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) Jake McGuigan discusses hunting-related legislation with Cam Edwards. In Connecticut, Governor's Bill 28, which would have eliminated the Board of Firearm Permit Examiners, failed to make it out of committee. The Board serves as an independent body that reviews appeals of rejected permit applications, and its dissolution would have meant that hunters would have to appeal to the same department that turned them down in the first place. McGuigan also talks about the massive campaign against lead ammunition that has recently served as a front for anti-hunting initiatives.
