16-year-old Demari DeReu accidentally brought an unloaded hunting rifle with her onto the Columbia Falls High School campus after a Thanksgiving family hunting trip. Due to Zero Tolerance laws, DeReu faced possible expulsion, but the school board voted Monday night to reinstate the Montana honors student. Cam Edwards speaks with DeReu and her attorney, Sean Frampton, who says that many people came out to show their support for DeReu at a hearing that ultimately favored common sense over zero tolerance.
