The Nevada Senate Judiciary Committee recently heard Senate Bill 231, the Campus Carry Protection Act, that would establish the right-to-carry for law-abiding permit holders on college and university campuses in the state. Cam Edwards speaks with NRA-ILA Nevada State Liaison Carrie Herbertson who said that among those providing testimony in favor of the bill was Amanda Collins. Collins was a legal right-to-carry permit holder who was raped at gunpoint on a Nevada college campus in 2007 where she was not legally allowed to take her firearm. Herbertson said Collins bravely stayed through the entire 3-hour hearing to look each opponent of the bill in the eye. Originally aired 3/18/2011.
