Colorado's "Make My Day" Law

Man who shot home intruder in self-defense will not be charged. Ginny Simone and federally licensed firearms dealer Mike Zarlenga speak with Tony Fabian of the Colorado Shooting Sports Association (CSSA) about the court's decision to exonerate Joseph Fleming, 32, for killing a man who had forcibly entered Fleming's home with several accomplices. Fleming had been beaten and stabbed by the time he fired his shotgun in self-defense, and the state court has determined that he has been protected by Colorado's "Make My Day" law which Fabian says was one of the first versions of the castle doctrine in the United States.
