On this edition of Deal of the Day, Cam Edwards shares a story from Center, Colorado, where Elijah Sanchez, 24, will serve between 2.5 to 8 years according to the terms of his plea bargain for a 2010 stabbing. Sanchez stabbed the victim nine times and was initially charged with one count of criminal attempted murder in the first degree after deliberation and one count of assault in the first degree causing serious bodily injury with a deadly weapon. In the plea bargain these two counts were dropped and three new counts were added: assault in the heat of passion, criminal mischief and crime of violence. Originally aired 3/23/2012.
