Colorado Senate Bill 51 was defeated by the State, Veterans & Military Affairs Committee on a party line 3-2 vote. Tony Fabian, President of the Colorado State Shooting Association, talks with Cam Edwards about this bad news. The bill, sponsored by Sen. Scott Renfroe, would have removed the governor's power to suspend or limit the sale, dispensing or transportation of firearms in Colorado during a time of declared state of emergency. Fabian explains that there is an anti-gun group that goes after these kinds of bills, though he emphasizes the importance of allowing citizens the means to defend themselves during crises.
