State Senator Mark Christensen's bill went before the NE Legislature's Judiciary Committee with some promising results. NRA Nebraska Lobbyist Ron Jenson tells Ginny Simone that the current legislation is so unclear that even legislators who oppose the Castle Doctrine bill as written generally think clarification is needed to protect victims of a crime who defend themselves. Currently criminals and their families can sue citizens who injure or kill an intruder while the citizens are defending themselves. Christensen's bill would allow gun owners to use deadly force to protect against an intruder in a person's home, workplace or vehicle.
