Of the Supreme Court rulings handed down this session, The Center for Individual Freedom's Tim Lee says the court's interpretation of the Federal Arbitration Act in Epic Systems Corp. v. Lewis is among the most important. It upholds arbitration agreements between employers and employees. The rights of employees are guaranteed, but the process is quicker. Companies need to avoid frivolous lawsuits and employees need to be able to compete with the deep pockets of corporations.
