Diane Benjamin: School Advises Students to Lobby for Gun Control

Cam & Co Sponsored by Hornady

A Bloomington High School physics teacher was fired for what he says was a dispute with the school's principal. Diane Benjamin of the Bloomington-Normal News says it's the principal who should have been fired. He used school equipment to print flyers to distribute to students during a memorial to those killed in the Parkland school shooting. She found out by accident after a FOIA request about the termination of the popular conservative physics teacher. The flyers explained how students could lobby lawmakers about gun control, listing who to call about which bills. Parents found out when she took it public at the school board meeting. Diane says the worst part of the story is that the kids have no understanding of the Second Amendment. Originally aired on Cam & Co 04/13/18.
