University of Texas at Austin police are defending the delay in providing information about a deadly stabbing attack on campus. The suspect was in custody within two minutes of the first call to police, but students are livid that the siren system was never activated and it took up to 30 minutes to receive a text notification as to what was going on. Students for Concealed Carry's Michael Newbern says that 30 minutes is excessive for any kind of notification. But the bigger issue is that UT-Austin has been so resistant to campus carry, insisting that carrying a firearm for self-defense will increase violence. Originally aired on Cam & Co 05/03/17.
