The Trump administration has called the media the opposition party. The Hill's Joe Concha says that Monday's distortion of President Donald Trump's comments about the Civil War is just one more example. Mainstream media had a field day, but Trump's comments were consistent with those of historians. The Civil War did not happen overnight. It was preceded by tensions between the North and South over slavery since the nation was founded in 1776.
