Dr. Robert Young is the executive editor of Doctors for Responsible Gun Ownership. DRGO is analyzing anti-gun studies being published in the nation's medical journals. A case in point appears in the Journal of the American Medical Association. A new study concludes that implementing Stand Your Ground law in Florida has resulted in an increase in homicides. Dr. Young says that the three-year spike is suspicious. People don't know about new laws and it takes years to show an effect. He notes that the study makes a fundamental error in comparing to a single state. Dr. John Lott’s analysis of all states with Stand Your Ground showed an overall decline.
