In an en banc review, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled against most provisions of Florida's Firearms Owners' Privacy Act in Wollschlaeger v. Governor of Florida. The law barred doctors in the state from asking their patients about guns unless it directly related to their medical care, their safety or the safety of others. One provision remains: doctors cannot discriminate against or drop patients due to their positions on gun rights. Dr. Robert Young of Doctors for Responsible Gun Ownership says that it is disappointing to see the court contradicting everything that has come before. They appear to have only considered the impression of violation of First Amendment rights without including Second Amendment considerations. Originally aired on Cam & Co 02/21/17.
