Author Julie Gunlock is a senior fellow and the director of the Culture of Alarmism Project at the Independent Women's Forum. She talks about her piece on the new website Heat Street, concerning her encounter with an FBI agent who told her she was being an irresponsible mom for leaving her children in the car while stopping to pick up dinner. She also responds to an article in The Chronicle of Higher Education. It was written by a professor that is anguishing over whether she should write a recommendation for a student who is a gun owner and supports the Second Amendment. Gunlock says that she needs to understand the real world. Women are the fastest growing demographic in gun ownership, and she likely interacts with gun owners every day.
