Next week, Illinois State Police will begin accepting online applications for Firearms Owner Identification Cards (FOID). Paper applications will no longer be accepted. Valinda Rowe, spokesperson for Illinois Carry, says that the change will help address the backlogs of the past. On Wednesday, March 18, the Illinois Gun Owner Lobby Day (IGOLD) rally and march takes place. Rowe says there are more issues than ever, and urges residents to attend and talk to their legislators about the importance of Second Amendment freedoms.
