Author Julie Gunlock is a senior fellow and the director of the Culture of Alarmism Project at the Independent Women's Forum. She discusses "food deserts," poor urban areas where people supposedly can't get easy access to healthy food. She explains that it is a myth that has been disproven, with access to grocery stores, bodegas, and convenience stores. She goes on to discuss her new article, "Stop the Madness! Give a Better Present to Your Kid's Teacher." She says that the tradition has grown from simple thank you notes, to trendy and expensive gifts. She suggests that students themselves become involved in the decision-making, for a simple and appropriate gift. Originally aired on NRA News Cam & Co 06/02/15.
