The Maine House of Representatives has passed Constitutional/Permitless Carry legislation by a vote of 83-62. LD 652 allows law-abiding citizens to carry a firearm without the requirement of a permit. The current permitting system would continue in order to allow for state-to-state reciprocity agreements. John Hohenwarter, NRA-ILA Maine state liaison, says that the bill has now been amended and approved by the Senate. It will be reviewed and voted on again by the House tomorrow, and likely sent to the governor's office tomorrow night. Originally aired on the Sportsman Channel 06/02/15.
