Following the Westgate Mall terror attack in Nairobi, Kenya, Al-Shabaab has called for attacks on shopping malls in the United States, Canada, and Great Britain. At the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, security officers have stepped up safety procedures, but the mall is a "gun-free zone," where legal gun owners are denied the right to carry concealed. Writer Guy Sagi of American Rifleman notes that with 177,000 Minnesotans having concealed carry permits, the 520-store mall would be far safer if its citizens could exercise their right of self-defense. He says that the mall's policy likely played a part in its choice as a target. Originally aired on the Sportsman Channel 02/23/15.
