The American Academy of Pediatrics has published new guidelines, recommending that parents and doctors talk to children about alcohol and drinking by age 9. Dr. Robert Young, spokesman for Doctors for Responsible Gun Ownership, responds to the new guidelines, noting they are polar opposites of their recommendations about firearms, education vs. prohibition. He discusses his article, “Junk Science as Propaganda,” in which he details the many instances in which agenda-driven studies are used to justify public policy and legislation with regard to firearms.
