As sexual assaults on college campuses enter the media spotlight, gun rights advocates are calling for an end to "gun-free zones" and to allow Campus Carry for self-defense. Crayle Vanest is the Midwest Regional Director at Students for Concealed Carry, attending Indiana University. Vanest was quoted in a recent article on the subject in The New York Times. She explains that the teen alcohol myth is specious, and that ageism can be used against people of all ages. She is a concealed carry holder, but cannot carry on campus. To illustrate the problem, she says that when leaving her campus job late at night, she must walk past an area where registered sex offenders reside. Originally aired on NRA News Cam & Co 02/19/15.
