Chief James Craig of the Detroit Police Department has drawn national attention and praise for his unambiguous support of concealed carry and the right of self-defense. Chief Craig says that terrorists are likely reluctant to target Detroit, for fear that armed citizens will shoot back. Police respond to incidents, he explains, but they can't be everywhere. Citizens must be able to respond to violence with sufficient force. A law-abiding concealed carry holder can make the difference, he says. Chief Craig goes on to talk with Cam about approaches to keep firearms out of the hands of criminals and the mentally ill, and strategies to stop repeat offenders, such as CeaseFire. He details what has and hasn't worked, and the issues involved. Originally aired on Cam & Co 12/04/15.
