NRA-ILA media liaison Catherine Mortensen responds to reports that the Obama administration is moving forward with more than a dozen new gun regulations through the Department of Justice and the BATFE. She explains that the proposed rules are part of the Unified Agenda, a "wish list" of all regulations. She notes that many have been in limbo for years, and the Obama administration may be attempting to finalize them. Two items are of concern: greatly expanding the definition of mental illness to include routine and temporary situations, and the elimination of NFA trusts. She says that the BATFE must publish any proposed new rules, allowing for examination and a comment period. The NRA will be ready. Originally aired on the Sportsman Channel 06/02/15.
