Montana's House Bill 298, Permitless Carry, has completed its third reading and has passed by a vote of 56 – 43. The NRA-backed legislation that would permit the lawful concealed carry of firearms without a state permit now moves to the Montana Senate. NRA-ILA state liaison Brian Judy reports that the prospects for passage look good. He explains that a new approach is being pursued for Parking Lot legislation, exempting employers from all liability who allow their staff to have a properly secured firearm in a locked, parked car.
